God Turns The World’s Greatest Sin And Injustice Into The World’s Greatest Blessing

Greetings!

I have covered the reasons why God and Christ Jesus allow suffering and apparent injustices in general terms under the Categories of “Suffering” and “God Can Give Nothing But Blessing And Goodness” but I want to cover the title of this present Category in a little more specific manner.

I have to admit I am taken back sometimes, how-be-it if only momentarily, when I see the obviously innocent suffer pain and indignities for no apparent reason. This is especially true concerning the suffering of children and animals.

However, the main example that God has given  to insure us that His ways, in ALL that He does, will ULTIMATELY bring about the greatest of blessings for each and everyone involved….even for the justifiable suffering of the sinner, which I will explain later.

This one prime example is, of course, the crucifixion of our Lord and Savi0r Christ Jesus.

God the Father, to the unenlightened human eye and thought, certainly seemed anything but fair and loving when, after His Son had lived a completely PERFECT life in total and absolute obedience and love to Him, then required and demanded Jesus to suffer one of the most horrible ways of dying possible….as well as being beaten severely !!

I can think of no greater apparent injustice.

And, it was beyond question the greatest of sins in that the world crucified its Creator Who had lived a perfect life on their (our) behalf. I can think of no greater sin than this.

But wait! God had a way to turn this greatest of sins and injustices into the greatest of blessings FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!

God knew that Jesus could handle the suffering that He went through with the Cross or He would not have allowed it….plain and simple. And because of Christ’s love for the Father and His Creation He endured it and was exalted higher than all and given the Name that is above all names (Philippians 2:9)….quite a BLESSING!!

As for the world and the Creation that killed Him, God even was here able to bring about the GREATEST OF BLESSINGS for ALL mankind in that the sacrifice of Christ was accepted by the Father as the ULTIMATE penalty for sin for ALL who have ever lived or will live. (1 Peter 3:18; Romans 5:18-19; 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15; Colossians 1:20)

This is why Jesus could say in John 12:32: “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL to Myself….”. No ambiguity here. No mincing of words. No exceptions noted.

So, the major point of this presentation is to show that even if we can’t understand why some of  the lesser sins and suffering, as well as apparent injustices, are allowed by God and Jesus then our being able to CLEARLY see how God can take the greatest sin and injustice EVER COMMITTED and turn them into the GREATEST OF BLESSINGS….He and Jesus will have little trouble  turning ALL of these lesser ones into blessings, as well.

Concerning how Christ’s sacrifice was the ULTIMATE penalty  for EVERYONE’S  sin (permanent death) please refer to these Categories for a more complete explanation:

“All Creation Will Be Saved”

“God’s Plan For The Ages”

“Eon vs Forever”

“Hell”

“Lazarus And The Rich Man”

“Misunderstanding About the Salvation of All Creation”

The last Category listed especially deals with how sinners will suffer for their continuing sins and how some of the suffering will be quite severe. However, ULTIMATELY, even the suffering they experience will serve as chastisement for CORRECTION and NOT suffering for the mere sake  of vindictive pain. Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible puts this nicely in Matthew 25:46: “And these shall go away into age-abiding CORRECTION”. And notice, it is “age-abiding” NOT ‘eternal’!

Until later, be blessed in Him.

God’s Plan Of The Ages

Hi, again.

If the Scriptures are translated literally and consistently, they reveal a GLORIOUS plan that God and Christ Jesus have in progress and it is broken down into ‘ages’ or ‘eons’. This is an excerpt from the Post (Category) “Eon vs Forever”:

“If they had just PROPERLY TRANSLATED IT CONSISTENTLY, as several versions such as Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible,  Young’s Literal Translation and the Concordant Literal Version have done, we Christians would EASILY see that God has a “PLAN OF THE AGES” (Ephesians 3:11), there was a time “before the ages or eons” (2 Timothy 1:9), that Christ “made the eons or ages” (Hebrews 1:1-2), there are “oncoming ages” (Ephesians 2:7) and there are the “ends of the ages” (1 Corinthians 10:11).”

End of excerpt. All three of the Bible versions mentioned above are available for FREE at http://www.studybible.info .

Let’s take a look at this WONDERFUL plan:

1. We are now living in “this present wicked age” (Galatians 1:4) and the “age of this world” (Ephesians 2:2).

2. There are ‘ages’ to come after this one. (Revelation 1:6; Ephesian2:7).

3. The next ‘age’ will begin after the Lord’s Day and the following ‘Second Coming’ of Jesus. Then will be the beginning of the  Millennium, or the 1,000 year reign mentioned in Revelation 20:6;  it is referred to in Mark 10:30 and Luke 18:30 as “the coming age”. It is during this time that all believers will have come into our/their glory and been changed into the likeness of Christ Jesus Himself (Philippians 3:21; Revelation 20:4-5).

4. At the conclusion of the Millennium and after Satan’s rebellion is defeated, there comes the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11).  This is where ALL who have ever lived will be judged for their actions as humans. This EXCLUDES   all believers as we have already appeared before the “judgment seat” of God and Christ and inherited our new, immortal Christ-like bodies, as explained in the Post (Category) “Judgment Seat Of Christ vs Great White Throne Judgment”.

Those who ‘survive’ the White Throne Judgment are the ones written in the “Book of Life” and they will go on to experience life with the ‘new heaven and new earth’ (Revelation 20:12-15; 21:1). These ‘survivors’ of the Judgment are the ones mentioned as the “nations” in Revelation 21:24 and 22:22.

5.  After the White Throne Judgment, Revelation 21 describes how the “New Jerusalem” will descend from the “new heaven”  and set up shop on the “new earth”. It reveals how there will  no longer be a need for a sun nor a moon because God Himself and Christ Jesus will abide in New Jerusalem and be all the light that is ever needed (Revelation 21:23), and there will obviously never be another night (Revelation 21:25).

Revelation 22:1-2  describes “a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne and God and the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On the other side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding the fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

Now, “death” has NOT YET been abolished and ONLY God’s “elect” (those  believers mentioned in #3 and #4 above) have immortality at this particular time. The “nations”, on the other hand, are still mortals and need the healing power from the “tree of life”.

Revelation 22:5 goes on to say there will still be “ages” to come before the “end”.

6. Then, after the “ages” mentioned in verse 22:5 have run their course, there will come the “end” mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:24 when Christ has subjected ALL enemies and hostilities  under Him and He hands the Kingdom over to God the Father  in verse 24. The enemy that is  LAST to be “destroyed” or “abolished” is ‘death’ itself in verse 26.

This means that even those experiencing the  “second death”  in Revelation 20:14 are NOW RELEASED because ‘death’ NO LONGER EXISTS! Now is the time mentioned in verse 22 when ALL will be made “alive” (immortal) because of Christ’s sacrifice….as He FORETOLD in John 12:32: “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL men to Myself” (emphasis mine).

The ‘nations’ living on the ‘new earth’ will also now no longer need the “leaves” of the “tree of  life” for healing.

Those who have been released from the grips of the “second death” have already suffered and been chastised CONSIDERABLY , and they have ALREADY PAID an ENORMOUS  price for their sins….there is no need to continue to hold them in the unconscious state of death. Please reference the Posts “Death” and ” Misunderstanding About the Salvation of All Creation” for further information on this.

Those being released from the “second death” are the last group mentioned in verses 23 and 24 to receive the “life”, without the possibility of ever dying….SINCE DEATH HAS BEEN ABOLISHED!!

7. This, then, is God’s “plan of the ages”.

He  becomes “ALL THINGS IN ALL” as GLORIOUSLY and TRIUMPHANTLY  stated in verse 28!!

The Responsibility Of Each Christian

Hi,again!

Even after Christians are initially called and receive the Holy Spirit, it will take some time to FULLY grasp the NEED for us to want God and Jesus to COMPLETELY CONTROL us (as far as is possible while we are in this human form), and not merely influence us in a religious sort of way. For some of us, this can take a long time. Our goal even is to bring EVERY thought into the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

God’s purpose for calling us is not just limited to having Christians be a ‘light’ in a dark world, but rather, the HIGHER purpose of having us being so COMPLETELY CONSUMED by His and Christ Jesus’ presence in us we are literally not our own anymore. Up to a point, Paul reached this stage as written in Galatians 2:20.

The problem is that some of us are satisfied with just the daily struggle of trying to be ‘good little girls and boys’ in a religious fashion; and too often, even this is motivated only by either (1) wanting to get ‘good stuff’ and blessings from our Father and Jesus (2) trying to merely ‘hang on’ until the Resurrection or (3) wanting to avoid Their wrath if we mess up. These attitudes can certainly lead to being “lukewarm” Christians and Revelation 3:16,17 clearly shows Their view on a “lukewarm” faith. A good article defining a lukewarm Christian is at http://chrismarlow.me/2008/06/are-you-a-lukewarm-christian/ .

Paul shows in 2 Timothy 1:6 that it is up to us to “stir up” or “rekindle” the “gift” that we have as Christians, if it becomes necessary. Other verses in the New Testament also clearly show that it is the individual Christian’s responsibility to develop an attitude in one’s heart to either “hunger and thirst after righteousness” (Matthew 5:6), become “lukewarm” in our faith (Revelation 3:16) or ultimately become like Demas who continued to “love this eon” (2 Timothy 4:10).

The Holy Spirit can urge as well as lead us but He will NEVER push, force or drag us.

All the best in Him,

Fred

Death Of Infants And Young Children

Hi, there!

God, in His infinite and never failing wisdom, oftentimes holds back the reason(s) for  the necessity of something happening. Some things we just have to accept on faith, but even here, He gives us good reason to trust Him. For instance, the fact that ALL creation will be saved at the conclusion of the eons (please reference the Post “All Creation Will Be Saved”) is proof enough of His love for His creation (please also reference the Post “God Can Give Nothing But Blessing And Goodness”) and assures us that ALL things will come to a WONDERFUL and GLORIOUS end, regardless of present conditions and/or appearances.

Concerning the deaths of infants and young children, I believe it is safe for us to reach a few factual conclusions based on the Scriptures. Without a doubt, all those babies and children who died in infancy will be at the Great White Throne Judgment as all who have ever lived will be present there except for God’s saints (please reference the Posts “Who Are Saints” and “Judgment Seat Of Christ vs Great White Throne Judgment”).

The Great White Throne Judgment  has absolutely NOTHING to do  with the issues of faith, justification, righteousness, baptism, callings or any religious matters. It deals SOLELY with an individual’s “acts” and “motives” during their existence as a human being (Romans 2:5-7 and other verses)…that’s it!!  It is quite obvious that these previously deceased babies and young children will be HAPPILY ushered into the coming “new heaven and new earth” (Revelation 21:1) following the Judgment because they cannot be held accountable nor condemned for any bad acts….based on their ages and experience!

Parents, relatives, loved ones and even strangers who are so deeply touched by the passing of babies and young children are certainly justified in experiencing the pain of the loss. But, the tears and broken hearts are for us humans, NOT these children. To the contrary, they did not have to experience (were actually spared, if you will) the very difficult and quite painful journey of being a human in this very corrupt and “WICKED eon” (Galatians 1:4).

Jesus, Himself, referred to this present experience of life as humans on earth as “darkness” (John 1:5), as did Paul (Ephesians 5:8, 6:12). Earth is the land of the dead (those deceased) and the ‘dying’ (Matthew 8:22).  Soon after we are born, our mortal bodies begin the process of decaying and dying, and are having to be rejuvenated again and again, constantly. These infants and little children were BLESSED with only having to go through this ‘rotting’ process for a very, very short time.

And, although they may have missed out on some VERY limited and VERY fleeting happy moments as a human being, it is NOTHING compared to what it will be like for them at their next awakening moment from their peaceful “SLEEP” of death (please reference the Post “Death”) before the Righteous Judge Who will then grant them a JOYOUS and GLORIOUS life beyond description  in “the new heaven and the new earth” (“paradeisos” OR ‘paradise’….Revelation 2:7).

Remember always: IF it had been more profitable for them to have lived a longer life, God and Christ Jesus would have allowed them to do so.

As for the suffering of infants and young children who do not die, please reference the Post on “Suffering”.

Until later, all the best in Christ Jesus,

Fred

ALL Creation Will Be Saved

Hello!

Let’s cover one of the most WONDERFUL truths in the Bible: that God, through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus….WILL SAVE THE ENTIRE CREATION….all in due time, in their particular order (believers are first then others follow…1 Corinthians 15 22-24, James 1:18).

In the early era of Christianity, THE MAJORITY OF THE CHURCHES BELIEVED IN THE SALVATION OF ALL…yup!! Please read on.

The following is an excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_reconciliation (emphasis will be mine throughout):

“In the early Church, universalism (this means the salvation of the entire creation) was a FLOURISHING  theological doctrine[4].[5][6][7] Reconciliation is the main belief that distinguishes Christian Universalism from other forms of Christianity.

Various theologians, including Clement of Alexandria and Origen in the 3rd century, St. Gregory of Nyssa in the 4th century, and St. Isaac the Syrian in the 7th century, EXPRESSED UNIVERSALIST positions in early Christianity.[citation needed] Though Gregory of Nyssa was a known universalist, he was never condemned. He was additionally declared “the father of fathers” by the seventh ecumenical council.[8][9][10][11]

Modern universalists[who?] claim that universalism was the primary doctrine of the church until it was forcibly stamped out by the Catholic Church in the sixth century. FOUR of the six theological schools of thought in ancient Christendom SUPPORTED UNIVERSALISM, and ONLY ONE supported eternal damnation.[citation needed]”   (End of excerpt)

More importantly, let’s notice what the Scriptures say.

The supreme testament is from  Jesus Himself in John 12:32 (emphasis mine):

“and I, if I may be lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL  men unto Myself.” (Young’s Literal New Testament, New Standard Version, and others)

No ambiguity here….plain and simple….”ALL” will be saved….His words not mine!

Here are some other verses taken from Young’s Literal Version that leave no doubt that none will eventually, during the course of the ages, be able to escape God’s Love, Wisdom and Power (emphasis is mine throughout) :

Romans 5:18-19:

“18 So, then, as through one offence to ALL men [it is] to condemnation, so also through one declaration of `Righteous’ [it is] to ALL men to justification of life; 19 for as through the disobedience of the one man, the MANY were constituted sinners: so also through the obedience of the one, shall the MANY (this is the same “MANY” mentioned above) be constituted righteous.”

Romans 11:26, 32:

“for God did shut up together the WHOLE to unbelief, that to the WHOLE He might do kindness.”

Romans 8:20,21:

“20 for to vanity was THE CREATION made subject — not of its will, but because of Him Who did subject [it] — in hope, 21 that also THE CREATION itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;”

I Corinthians 15:22-24:

“for even as in Adam ALL die, so also in the Christ ALL shall be made alive” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

I Corinthians 15:27-28:

“27 for ALL things He did put under his feet, and, when one may say that ALL things have been subjected, [it is] evident that He is excepted who did subject the ALL things to him, 28 and when the ALL things may be subjected to Him, then the Son also Himself shall be subject to Him, who did subject to him the ALL things, that God may be the ALL in ALL.” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

II Corinthians 5:14-15:

“if One died for the sake of ALL, consequently ALL died, And He died for the sake of ALL” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

II Corinthians 5:19:

namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the WORLD to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (He reconciled the “world” to Himself through Christ, NOT JUST BELIEVERS….we believers are first and then the rest will follow as written in I Corinthians 15:23,26)

Ephesians 1:22-23:

“22 and ALL things He did put under his feet, and did give Him — head over ALL things to the assembly, 23 which is his body, the fulness of Him who is filling the ALL in ALL” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

Philippians 2:10-11:

“10 that in the name of Jesus EVERY knee may bow — of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth — 11 and EVERY tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Philippians 3:21:

“according to the working of his power, even to subject to Himself the ALL things.” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

Colossians 1:20:

“and through Him to reconcile the ALL things to Himself    having made peace through the blood of his cross” (the ‘ALL’ represents the ENTIRE creation!!)

I Timothy 4:10:

“for for this we both labor and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of ALL men — especially of those believing.” (This verse leaves absolutely no doubt. It is “especially of those believing” because, after the Firstfruit of Christ Himself, believers are the next in line to partake of this glorious inheritance….the rest follow at the ‘consummation’, when ‘death’ is finally abolished” 1 Corinthians 15:23,26)

End of listed Scriptures.

God, through Christ, created each of us and He knows the right buttons to push to get us to use our ‘free’ choice/will  to accept Him.  Take Saul of Tarsus as an example. He was Satan’s CHIEF HONCHO…..being the leader of those persecuting the Church….rounding up Christians to be imprisoned and killed, with his wholehearted blessing. Truly, he was  “the worst of sinners”. (I Timothy 1:15…..New International Version)

And, it took about how long for Christ  to change the tune of “the worst of sinners” after he saw the vision and heard the voice?  Exactly, a mere matter of moments/minutes.  No sinner….from the ‘worst’ to the ‘least’…. is a match for God’s LOVE, WISDOM and POWER.

And finally, please reference the Posts “Misunderstanding About The Salvation Of All”, “Death” and “Hell” for further clarification.

Until later,

Eon vs Forever

It is so unfortunate that one single word has been so mistranslated by ‘scholars’ that  wonderful truths have been  HIDDEN from God’s saints. The word I speak of in the Greek  (New Testament) is  ‘aion’ and the corresponding Hebrew (Old Terstament) word is ‘olam’.  A Greek-English lexicon would define ‘aion’ as “An indefinite, long period of time; an age.”

For whatever their individual reasons many, if not most,  translators have rendered this simple, little word as everything from ‘world’  to ‘eternal’, forever’, ‘always’, ‘everlasting’, and so on.

If they had just PROPERLY TRANSLATED IT CONSISTENTLY, as several versions such as Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible,  Young’s Literal Translation and the Concordant Literal Version  have done, we Christians would EASILY see that God has a ‘purpose of the eons’ (Ephesians 3:11), there was a time ‘before times eonian’ (2 Timothy 1:9), that Christ ‘made the eons or ages’ Hebrews 1:1-2), there are ‘eons or ages oncoming’ (Ephesians 2:7 and there is an ‘ends of the ages’ (1 Corinthians 10:11).

In fact, there is no word in Hebrew or Greek that literally  means ‘eternal’ with the sense of time. When God is referred to as the ‘eonian God’ in Romans 16:26 it obviously means He  is working with His plan using the eons, just as  His being the God of Israel does not limit Him to just Israel.

There is NO “eternal punishment” (New American Standard and many others) but there is “eonian (age-abiding) chastisement”…. Matthew 25:46 (Concordant Literal NT and Rotherham’s Bible). It is for a LIMITED time.

There is NO penalty of “eternal” or “everlasting” destruction (New American Standard and many other versions) but there is “eonian extermination” or “age-abiding destruction”….2 Thessalonians 1:9 (Concordant Literal NT and Rotherham’s Bible, respectively). It is for a LIMITED time.

The point being: where ever you read “eternal”, “forever”, “everlasting”, etc. in those Bibles that incorrectly translate “aion”, just substitute “eon”, “age”, “age lasting”, etc..

Until later.

Fred
